TERMATALIA: PERU MUST USE ITS THERMAL WEALTH TO DEVELOP HEALTH TOURISM

Alejandro Rubín, general director of the 18th International Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing Fair (Termatalia) – Brazil 2018, affirmed that Peru has become the great thermal country of the region and one of the most attractive in the world due to its diversity of thermal and curative waters that it possesses in the different points of our national territory.

In this regard, he said that one of the main tasks that the State must do is to put it in value in order to make them more attractive and develop a more effective thermal tourism or health tourism for the benefit of national and foreign visitors.

“The tourists of the present and the future can invest a little more in their stay, but they want to enjoy those experiences of quality of life and medicinal waters,” he said.

Likewise, the maximum representative of Termatalia said that the State should improve the communication channels that lead to the thermal centers, as well as the granting of facilities so that private investment can build or improve the hotel infrastructure in the area.

About the quantification of thermal tourism in our country, he said that the currencies left by thermal tourism are double compared to conventional tourism.

Rubin, who made the presentation of Termatalia – Brazil 2018, to be held from September 10 to 15 in Foz de Iguazú, invited the Peruvian business community to attend the eighteenth edition of the great thermal event.

In this regard, Alejandro Rubín thanked the municipal representatives of Churín (Lima), Pimentel (Lambayeque), Tingo María (Huánuco) and Cajamarca who confirmed their attendance at Termatalia – Brazil 2018.
